Here is a stop in the action where new best buddies Megan Rodney and Jason Colston were stand ins on a Nikon D3x shoot that was nothing short of incredible. It was like when a great script meets great acting, directing and filming. The files from this camera were nothing short of spectacular as was the each and every performance on this shoot. Nikon has unveiled the studio photographers dream camera in the D3x. I am sure most have the specs on this one so I won't bore you with the data sheet. There is however, one thing the specifications won't show and that is the actual image and when it appears though Nikon Capture NX2 (the only software that will read the RAW files at this point). Simply wow!!! or better yet Holy Shit!!
Rob Van Petten and crew pulled together a shoot with some of the best in the business and all pistons were firing. From pre-light through the shoot and set strike it was an honor to be involved. As a Pro Retoucher I will certainly be commenting shortly on the images from this camera, but what I have seen so far is stunning!!!
