Announcing Photo of the Month Contest

I am excited to announce that the DC Shooters Blog will be hosting the first in a series of photo contests that will feature talent from around the DC Metro area. Each month a winner will be selected from submissions to our Flickr group pool located here.

The winning photo and photographer will be featured on the blog for the month and fame and fortune will surely follow.

Images will be judged based on their originality, technical, and creative merit.

Judging will be handled by an elite panel of professional sounding photographers, spearheaded by blog founder Chris Alvanas.

Losers will be caned relentlessly, also by Chris Alvanas.

Each photographer may submit ONE image per month for judging. Judging starts on the first day of the month and ends on the last.
